1. Who we are
This site is operated by JASMINELOFT, Lda., NIPC 519004442, Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar 29, Bloco D, 8.º Esq., 1050-251 Lisboa, Portugal, trading as e-expat. Contact: hello@e-expat.com.
2. What we provide
e-expat provides relocation information and intermediary services. In practice that means assessing which route your case may qualify under, preparing and assembling the documents that route needs, coordinating the professionals who have to be involved, and filing on your behalf where we are authorised to.
We are a coordination and client-support layer. Where a case requires a regulated profession, the work is carried out by licensed professionals in our partner network, and we tell you who is acting on your file.
3. This is not legal advice
Nothing on this website is legal, tax, immigration or financial advice, and reading it creates no lawyer-client or adviser-client relationship. The pages describe routes in general terms so you can see what a case usually involves.
Immigration rules, thresholds and processing times change, sometimes at short notice. Figures on this site are indicative and are confirmed against the current rules for your nationality and your circumstances before you commit to anything. Do not act on a page here without having your own situation assessed.
4. How a contract is formed
Services shown on this site with a price and a pay button are ordered online. The contract is concluded when your payment is confirmed, on the terms of this page and of the service page as it stood that day. For visa and residence services we then send an engagement letter naming the scope, the professionals acting on your file and the timetable. Where that letter and this page differ, the letter prevails.
Services without a pay button are quoted after a free case check and start only when you accept the written quote. A WhatsApp or WeChat conversation alone commits neither of us.
5. What we cannot promise
We do not decide applications. Consulates, AIMA and the other authorities involved do, on their own criteria and their own timetable. We can prepare a file properly and answer requests for evidence quickly; we cannot guarantee an approval, a processing time or an appointment date, and no statement on this site should be read as guaranteeing one.
Where a page gives a preparation window, it covers our own work up to filing, and it is stated separately from the authority’s processing time for exactly this reason.
6. Prices and VAT
Prices are in euros and exclude VAT. If you live outside the EU, no VAT is charged, except on housing services, which are taxed in Portugal for everyone. If you live in the EU, 23% VAT is added at checkout and the total is shown before you pay. Government fees, translation, certification and third-party professional fees are not included unless the service page says so.
7. Cancelling an online order
If you are a consumer and ordered online, you may withdraw from the contract within 14 days of payment without giving a reason. Write to hello@e-expat.com or use the form below. We refund within 14 days of your notice, to the payment method you used.
At checkout you ask us to start work within those 14 days. If you then withdraw, you pay for the part of the service already performed, in proportion to the full price. Once a service has been fully performed at your request, for example your NIF has been issued, the right of withdrawal ends.
Other refunds. The Golden Visa deposit is refunded if we cannot take your case. The Employer Match Report is refunded in full if we find fewer than 15 qualified employers. The strategy call fee is credited when you proceed. Priority: if delivery takes longer than 3 business days, the EUR 50 is refunded.
Withdrawal form. To JASMINELOFT, Lda., hello@e-expat.com. I withdraw from my contract for the following service: ... Ordered on: ... Name: ... Email used for the order: ... Date: ...
8. Employer Match Report
1. What the report is
The Employer Match Report is a research product. For a fee, e-expat prepares a written report that lists employers in Portugal with public evidence of hiring people who are still abroad, a match score for each, the evidence and its source, a suggested visa route, and draft emails written in your name. The report is delivered as a web page and a spreadsheet.
2. What we do not do
We do not contact employers on your behalf. We do not register you with, recommend you to, or introduce you to any employer. We do not receive job offers. You send every email yourself, from your own address. e-expat is not an employment agency and does not provide job placement.
3. What we cannot promise
Scores are research judgments made on the date stated in the report, from public sources you can open yourself. We do not promise that any employer will reply, interview you or offer you a contract. Information about employers, roles and pay is taken from public sources on the day of research and may change.
4. Price and delivery
The price is shown before payment. VAT is added at checkout where it applies. Delivery is within 3 business days after both your payment and your CV have reached us. If your CV was not attached at checkout, the delivery period starts when we receive it.
5. Refund
If we find fewer than 15 qualified employers for your profile, we refund the full price and tell you why. In every other case the report is a personalised digital service under Decreto-Lei n.º 24/2014. You asked us to start immediately, so if you withdraw before delivery you pay for the part of the work already done, and once the report is delivered the right of withdrawal ends. If something in a delivered report is wrong, tell us within 14 days and we will correct it at no cost.
6. The “Report + review” tier
This tier adds a check of every row by a person before release, a 30-minute call, and confirmation of your visa route by our team. The route confirmation is our professional opinion based on the information you gave us; the decision on any visa belongs to the Portuguese authorities.
7. Second batch
On request we prepare a second batch of 10 employers for the price shown at the time. The same terms apply.
8. Your responsibilities
You confirm that the CV and answers you give us are accurate and belong to you. You will not send our draft emails as unsolicited bulk mail. The report is for your personal use and may not be resold or published.
9. Complaints and disputes
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. In case of a consumer dispute you may use an alternative dispute resolution entity; the list is at consumidor.gov.pt. Our online complaints book (Livro de Reclamações) is at livroreclamacoes.pt. Contact for complaints: hello@e-expat.com.
10. Who you are contracting with
JASMINELOFT, Lda., NIPC 519004442, registered office at Avenida António Augusto de Aguiar 29, Bloco D, 8.º Esq., 1050-251 Lisboa, Portugal, trading as e-expat.
9. Program Match Report
1. What the report is
The Program Match Report is a free research product. From the answers you give us, e-expat prepares a written report of 8 to 10 study programmes in Portugal, Spain, Germany, France, the Netherlands and Ireland, in three tiers (reach, match and safe), with the cost per year, the application deadline, the post-study work rights and the next step for each. It is delivered by email within 3 business days.
2. Free, and no obligation
You pay nothing for the report, now or later, and you take on no obligation by asking for it. You may apply to any programme on your own, with the report in hand, or ask us to handle the application; that is a separate engagement with its own terms.
3. Why it is free
Partner universities pay e-expat a placement fee when a student enrols through us. Your tuition is the same whether you enrol through us or directly. The report lists every programme that fits your profile, partner or not, and says which ones are at a partner university.
4. What we cannot promise
The tiers are research judgments made on the date of the report, from the programmes' published requirements and your answers. We do not promise admission, a scholarship or a visa; the university and the authorities decide. Fees, deadlines and requirements are taken from public sources on the day of research and may change.
5. Your data
Your answers and any transcript you send are used only to prepare the report, as the privacy policy sets out. They are not sold, shared with universities or anyone else without your request, and are deleted on request.
6. Your responsibilities
You confirm that the answers you give us are accurate and belong to you. The report is for your personal use and may not be resold or published.
10. Your part
We work from what you give us. You are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of the information and documents you provide, and for telling us promptly if something changes. Incorrect or withheld information can cost a case, and we cannot be responsible for that outcome.
11. Links and third-party services
The contact buttons open WhatsApp, and the WeChat card shows a QR code for the WeChat app. Those services are operated by third parties under their own terms. We are not responsible for them, and any conversation there is subject to their rules as well as ours.
The Ask-AI buttons open an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Perplexity or Claude) on its own site. What it answers is its own, not advice from us; for your case, ask us.
12. Liability
This website is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on general information published here rather than on advice given for your own case. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Liability for work carried out under an engagement is dealt with in the written agreement for that engagement.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and the courts of Portugal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in the EU, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory rules of the country you live in.
14. Changes
We may update these terms as the service changes. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date below says when it last moved.
